The Minister of Ecology announced the appointment of a three-person team to prepare for the creation of the French Biodiversity Agency, during the monitoring committee of the national biodiversity strategy.

The biodiversity bill will be examined in a public session at the National Assembly in the spring of 2015. The text provides for the creation of the French Biodiversity Agency, resulting from the merger of Onema, AAMP, Aten, and the public institution French National Parks.
The new planning body announced by Sรฉgolรจne Royal will be placed under the aegis of the CNTE (National Council for Ecological Transition).
Its four priorities will be the harmonization of statutes, the budget in a constrained context for public spending, territorial implementation, and the negotiation of a partnership with ONCFS.
