Biot: The Patronal Feast of St Julien

The city celebrates its patron saint, one of the most famous martyrs of Roman Gaul. Although the procession from the church square to the Saint-Julien chapel is one of the highlights, this year again, the St. Julien will offer numerous activities for both young and old.


The highlights:

Saturday, August 19

8 am: Grand Prix of the Glassmakers โ€“ Start at Place de Gaulle and arrival
at Place des Arcades, organized by the Vรฉlo Sprint Biotois

10:30 am: Boules competition in arranged triples (registrations at 10 am) โ€“
Boules court โ€“ Prize: โ‚ฌ200 + stakes, organized by Boule Amicale Biotoise

9:30 pm: White Party hosted by Dj Neeko with surprise giveaways
โ€“ Place de Gaulle โ€“ free

Sunday, August 20

11 am: Grand Mass โ€“ Sainte Marie-Madeleine Church with the participation
of the Amicale Biotoise of Traditions and the parish of Biot

12:30 pm: Speech and honor wine offered by the Municipality โ€“ Place de
Gaulle

3 pm: European Square Boules Championship (registrations at 2 pm) โ€“ in the
streets of the village organized by Boule Amicale Biotoise

6 pm: Beginning of the World Championship of Vitou (card game) at the
village restaurants organized by Boule Amicale Biotoise

8 pm: Beginning of the Belote contest โ€“ Place de Gaulle, organized by
Boule Amicale Biotoise

Monday, August 21

9 am: Saint Julien procession โ€“ departure from the forecourt of Sainte
Marie-Madeleine Church โ€“ Mass at the St. Julien chapel, organized by the Amicale
Biotoise of Traditions (with the group Lo Cepon)

3 pm: Mixed triples boules competition (registrations at 2 pm) โ€“ Boules
court โ€“ Prize
