Espace A VENDRE is showcasing a Dutch artist with truly original and striking work: Han HOOGERBRUGGE. In a display that features photographic prints, screen prints, animations, and video projections, the artist takes us into his world, which is both sophisticated and innovative, keenly responsive to the society around him. With his “neuroticas” as well as his “camouflages,” Han HOOGERBRUGGE repositions illustration and interactive animation dedicated to the internet within the realm of contemporary art, grounding his perspective in the peculiarities of our era.
This exhibition includes large-scale polyptychs and video animations that are unique pieces to be discovered at the Espace A VENDRE gallery starting April 27. Projections of Han HOOGERBRUGGE’s earlier works will also be on display in the gallery’s back reserve area (also viewable at: [www.espace-avendre.com](https://www.espace-avendre.com)).
On the facade of the Gallery, a circle 80 cm in diameter highlights the creation of an artist in response to the current exhibition. For “Black Holes – Black Bones,” Thierry LAGALLA provides the commissioned work. This is a fitting homage, as during the September 2006 exhibition “Ò lo pintre” by Thierry LAGALLA, Han HOOGERBRUGGE had presented a round work titled “The Painter” on the facade of Espace A VENDRE.
