OGC Nice reached the semi-finals in Montbrison and now occupies second place in the overall standings. The fourth stage will be played at home on April 18 against the leader Plaine de l’Ain.

OGC Nice delivered a strong performance in Montbrison during the third stage of the Sport-Boules M1 League. The Niçois reached the semi-finals, defeated by Fontaine (13-2). This result allows them to climb to second place in the overall standings with 48 points.

The players from Nice managed their group phase well. Winners against Génelard (13-6), they overturned Bron (10-9) after trailing 0-8. Against La Côte-Saint-André, they dominated the game (13-0), securing their place in the semi-final.

Against Fontaine, the duel was intense. After an hour of play, the score was (2-4). Fontaine gained the upper hand in a key moment, taking advantage of a three against two to widen the gap (2-7). Nice could not reverse the trend and conceded in the next three rounds (2-13).

The final saw the victory of Plaine de l’Ain against Fontaine (10-8), further strengthening their first place with 72 points in the standings.

An anticipated clash in Nice

The fourth stage will take place in Nice over the Easter weekend. OGC Nice will face Plaine de l’Ain, the competition leader, on Friday, April 18. This matchup between the first and second in the standings is expected to be competitive.

The event will take place at the Gé Gallaratto boulodrome and will be broadcast live on Sport en France, as well as on the regional channels of BFM and the Live app of L’Équipe.

The Nice team, composed of Didier Abrate (captain), Emmanuel Bilon, Frédéric Ascensi, Romain Garcia, Jérémy Micoud, Bastien Paradis and Luc Ayral (substitute), will have the opportunity to confirm their ambitions at home.
