This journey through France of two Jewish brothers fleeing Nazism during the war finds in its images a simple and powerful evocation.

And, crucially, the filmmaker perfectly controls the emotion elicited by this moving narrative in which the children encounter true barbarians.

Alongside Elsa Zylberstein, Patrick Bruel, as the hunted head of the family, once again shows that he is an excellent actor.
