Amanda is a frankly poignant film. The movie addresses the themes of grief and parenthood through a simply perfect performance by Vincent Lacoste, impeccable, with true accuracy and subtlety.
The young Isaure Multrier is also remarkably natural in a role that is nonetheless very complex. There are other very good supporting roles as well: Stacy Martin, Jonathan Cohen, Marianne Basler, and more.
The story is simultaneously tragic, positive, and beautiful. Mikhaël Hers intertwines emotions of happiness and sadness to create a stronger feeling (the beauty of this film is difficult to express without resorting to sappy language). A very beautiful story.
