When it’s Wednesday, it means new movie releases. From the action film “Uncharted” to the comedy “Maison de retraite” and the drama “La vraie famille”, we present the movies to see in theaters starting this Wednesday, February 16.


Uncharted by Ruben Fleischer (1h56)

This action film features Nathan Drake (Tom Holland), a thief recruited by Victor “Sully” Sullivan, a seasoned treasure hunter. Together, they try to find the fortune of Ferdinand Magellan, lost 500 years ago, before Moncada, who is convinced he is the heir to this fortune. If they succeed in finding this treasure, they could get 5 billion dollars and maybe even find Nathan’s brother.
On Allociné, the press rates it an average of 2.7/5, while the audience is a bit more lenient, giving it an average score of 3.8/5.

King by David Moreau (1h45)

King, a computer-generated lion cub, is intended for trafficking. He manages to escape the airport and takes refuge with two teenagers, Inès, 12, and her brother Alex, 15. The young pair decide to take him back home to Africa. They are joined by their grandfather Max, and everything becomes easier.
The press rates it 3/5 and the audience 2.6/5.

Un autre monde by Stéphane Brizé (1h36)

In this drama, Philippe Lemesle (Vincent Lindon) and his wife (Sandrine Kimberlain) separate, due to professional pressure. The film follows the fate of this man at a crossroads in his life. He must give it meaning.
The film has so far received positive reviews, 4/5 from the press and 3.7/5 from the audience.

La vraie famille by Fabien Gorgeart (1h42)

In this drama, Anna (Mélanie Thierry), a 34-year-old woman, lives with her husband, her two sons, and Simon, a 6-year-old child placed with them by social services since he was 18 months old. The family’s fate turns when Simon’s biological father wants to reclaim custody of his son. Anna is torn at the thought of letting go of this little boy who has always called her “mom”.
The press and the audience both rate it 3.6/5.

Maison de retraite by Thomas Gilou (1h37)

Milann (Kev Adams) must complete 300 hours of community service to avoid prison. He does them at Les Mimosas, a retirement home where a group of seven retirees (including Gérard Depardieu and Daniel Prévost) each teach him their view on life. After several weeks at the retirement home, Milann realizes that the establishment is taking advantage of its residents to swindle them, so he decides to organize a great escape.
The press gives this comedy a low score of 2.3/5, while the audience rates it 3.9/5.
