This Saturday, Nice vibrated to the rhythm of Brazilian festivities on the occasion of the eleventh edition of the Yemanja festival. The day was marked by moments of joy and celebration in honor of Yemanja, queen of the sea and an emblematic figure of Brazilian heritage.
The festivities began in the late afternoon with a gathering at Place Saint Franรงois. Around a hundred people came together to admire the magnificent, colorful Brazilian costumes. This moment of communion highlighted the richness and diversity of the Brazilian culture. Spectators had the opportunity to admire a visual spectacle.
At 6 PM, the Vivre Ensemble Yemanja procession began. Artistic and cultural associations enlivened the streets of the city with a festive parade. Participants, dressed in traditional attire and adorned with smiles, shared their passion for Brazilian culture with curious and enthusiastic passersby.
The procession then reached the Castel Public Beach, where a flower offering ceremony to Yemanja took place. This solemn and moving moment allowed for a tribute to the protector of the oceans. The celebration continued at the Plage Les Canailles Nice with a music concert. The audience had the chance to enjoy performances by musical groups. The rhythms of Brazilian music captivated the spectators, thus concluding this festive day on a high note full of energy and friendliness.
