A particular atmosphere hung over the Théâtre de Verdure last night. Julien Doré, Brigitte, and CKLM took the audience into a wacky universe where quirky lyrics and electrified sounds reign supreme. A good dose of madness for an evening that will certainly go down in the annals of Crazy Week.
In the opening act, a wonderful discovery. CKLM, this tall young man, guitar in hand, presented himself to the packed venue and managed to captivate the crowd with his phrasing and rhythm of rare quality. Warm sounds that invite you to travel and a voice that hammers words as much as it whispers them.
To follow, two girls with an offbeat world: Brigitte. On stage, it’s sparkly, in the words it’s cheeky, in the melodies it’s sparkling. Half-glamour, half-hippie, the duo charms the audience who ask for more.
A few minutes later, Julien Doré takes the stage to close the evening with an excellent rock and glam concert. Seventies decor abound, guaranteed vintage effects, the tone is set.
True to his comedic style, the singer strikes a pose and showers the audience with a bucket of gold and silver confetti. He surprises, makes a splash, amuses, and especially leaves no one indifferent. A skillful and tenacious trickster, you probably need to see him live once to witness the immense progression of the singer. The Nouvelle Star is far behind now…
