Burger King, Prêt à Manger, and La Tarte Tropézienne… The new dining options at Nice Airport

Latest News

22 new restaurants are set to arrive at the airport soon. From fast food to fine dining, there will be something for everyone and every budget.

This is good news for restaurant enthusiasts. As part of the revamping program for the terminals of the Nice airport, the dining options have been entirely renewed. Whether you are passengers or staff, more than 22 new restaurants will be opening their doors.

“This new offering embodies innovation and excellence,” declares Dominique Thillaud, Chairman of the Board of the Cote d’Azur Airport Group. This means that two operators will be managing the terminals.

First, SSP. Already present in 130 airports worldwide, the group is offering 6 new outlets. Among them, the famous “La Tarte Tropézienne.”
“For the first time, the mythical cake will be available at Nice Airport. This is really good news,” explains Gérard Onofrio, Managing Director SSP in France, Belgium, and Holland. But that’s not all; the great Argentinian chef Mauro Colagreco will see his cuisine represented by the restaurant “Estival.” “Tapas, locally inspired dishes, and lovely grandma-style desserts, all inspired by the bistro of the hinterland,” the chef specifies.

Burger King returns to Nice

Relay France, a subsidiary of Lagardère Service, offers a similarly diverse selection. First of all, the much-anticipated Burger King is making its grand return to Nice. In terminal 2, travelers can enjoy the famous Whopper menu.
The “Prêt à Manger” brand, which is a hit worldwide, will be available for travelers in terminal 1, “travelers can take away or dine in,” explains Michel Perol, Managing Director of Relay France.

Another major event is the presence of Michelin-starred chef Thierry Marx in the terminals. The restaurant “La Plage” will offer gastronomic dishes in a VIP beach bar setting in terminal 1. The bar of La Plage will be located in terminal 2.

Among other highly anticipated brands offered by SSP and Relay are Starbucks, Bread&Co, and Jamie’s Italian. Most importantly, passengers will be able to taste or re-taste a “socca” from the famous Nicoise institution “Chez Pippo,” which will open in terminal 1 of the airport.

“Our goal is to make Nice Airport a place of continuity when visiting the Côte d’Azur, so that the journey continues just a few moments before boarding the plane,” concludes Dominique Thillaud, Chairman of the Board.
