Several organizations and employer associations (MEDEF, CGPME, UPA, EDC, Ethic…) have called for a week of mobilization throughout the territory in a patriotic, republican, apolitical, and educational spirit.
The UPE06 (federating Medef 06 and CGPME06) and UPA 06 intend to extend this mobilization over several weeks. The program will be detailed today during a press conference.
The unanimous observation of business leaders, regardless of their size or sector of activity, is that France has tremendous assets to develop and take advantage of the challenges it faces. But, these assets are hampered by actions, especially regulatory or legislative, which for 30 years have continuously added complexity to complexity, burdens to burdens, constraints to constraints.
According to the protesters, “the daily life of business leaders and their teams has become too complex, uncertain, and stressful. A worried business leader also means stressed employees, jobs that are not created, projects that do not materialize…”
After the “yellow card” protest to the government, the business world is therefore relaunching the “pedagogical, patriotic, republican, and apolitical” protest (no less than that?) against public authorities they deem responsible for all evils.
And they, the business leaders, bear no responsibility? All is well in paradise?
By this, it is not to say that the reasons for the protest are unfounded, but that the forms are not appropriate: When you are a boss, you do not behave like an employee, otherwise where is the difference?
Moreover, the organizers are the first to know that these demagogic demonstrations are often useless and only aim to get some spotlight on television for the best-placed and, for the luckiest, a brief interview.
The UPE06 wants to strike even harder than the national bodies, nothing wrong since there always has to be someone who goes above and beyond the others.
For the record: A survey conducted by Ipsos, from November 7 to 12, 2014, among a sample of the French population over 18 years old, shows that 89% of the French population has a positive opinion of the company.
The opinion is very positive among UMP/UDI supporters (98%) and PS (93%), less so among those of the FN (87%) and PC/Front de Gauche (75%).
If even 3/4 of the “comrades” love the company, where are the enemies then?
The conclusion is in the words of the protesters: “Our country is a great country, which despite its difficulties, has the capacity to bounce back.”
Perhaps if everyone played their part without corporate mysticism, the rebound would happen, wouldn’t it?
