After the success of previous editions, C’est pas Classique will offer a colorful program for its 7th year. Over four days (one more than previous years), about a hundred concerts will be presented.
This initiative by the General Council and the City of Nice offers the largest audience the opportunity to discover classical music in all its forms.
With 1000 artists involved and a capacity to accommodate over 50,000 seats, C’est pas Classique emerges as the most significant festival of its kind in the region.
Its program is ensured 80% by professional and amateur musicians from the conservatories and music schools of the Alpes-Maritimes department.
For this edition, in addition to the traditional Acropolis site, other venues will host performances: 4 churches (the Cathedral of Sainte-Réparate, the Church of Notre-Dame, the Church of Notre Dame du Port, the Church of Saint-Joseph), the Théâtre de la Photographie et de l’Image, and Garibaldi Square for a Sapeurs-Pompiers band open-air concert.
Among the invited artists are noteworthy the “diva” Barbara Hendricks, one of the most loved and admired artists worldwide, and the pianist François René Duchâble.
