The first stage of the Tour des Alpes-Maritimes et du Var, more commonly known as the Tour du Haut-Var, was won by Australian sprinter Caleb Ewan (Lotto Soudal) ahead of the French riders Anthony Turgis (TotalEnergies) and Nacer Bouhanni (Arkea-Samsic).
Ewan claimed victory on his preferred terrain, after 176.3 kilometers on the roads between Saint-Raphaël and La Seyne-sur-Mer.
