As part of the Fête des Vendanges, which will take place on Saturday, October 15, 2016, in Saint-Roman-de-Bellet, the City of Nice is searching for the Grape Harvest Queen and is calling for applications.
To be a candidate, you must be between 18 and 30 years old, reside within the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, know your local area, and be sporty.
The election will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Place des Vignerons, in Saint-Roman-de-Bellet, at 5:30 PM, during the closing of the Fête des Vendanges.
Candidates will have to undergo athletic events and a general presentation.
The athletic event will involve carrying as many wine barrels/crates as possible from point A to point B in the shortest possible time and producing the maximum amount of grape juice in the shortest time using a foot press.
A timed presentation speech related to the culture and the local area of Nice and a parade in evening wear will be included in the general presentation event.
The public present during the finale will acclaim the one most capable of representing the culture and local area of Nice as the Grape Harvest Queen of Bellet.
