The Iconic campus, inaugurated on November 8 in Nice, hosts more than 1,000 students. With schools such as Sup’de Com, IDRAC, and ILERI, it enhances Nice’s appeal as a center of educational excellence.
At the end of last week, the Iconic building, in the heart of Nice, opened its doors to over 1,000 students. The schools Sup’de Com, IDRAC Business School, ILERI, as well as the BTS of Aurlom have now settled there, offering a new learning environment right in the city center. With this urban campus, Nice confirms its major role in higher education in the PACA region.
For 15 years, the city has doubled the number of students it hosts. In 2008, there were 25,000 students. Today, there are about 50,000. This development is the result of a municipal strategy aimed at enhancing the attractiveness of Nice by hosting renowned institutions. The arrival of schools such as Sup’de Com and IDRAC is part of this dynamic, accompanying the already present hubs: University Côte d’Azur, EDHEC, and the Grande École in AI, Aivancity.
The Iconic complex, designed by architect Daniel Libeskind, occupies 20,000 m². It offers a modern and diverse working environment. Accessible by two tramway lines and the TER network, the building facilitates the travel of Nice and Azur region students. It is not limited to educational spaces, also incorporating offices, a performance hall, a hotel, and a catering hub.
A modern campus in the heart of Nice
This central location fosters interactions among students, local businesses, and public institutions. The modern facilities, including equipped classrooms, co-working spaces, and various services, meet the expectations of new generations of students. This setting also encourages exchanges with professionals, enhancing integration into the workforce.
The establishments at Iconic offer diverse programs. Sup’de Com trains students for careers in communication. IDRAC Business School provides courses in commerce and management, from Bac+2 to specialized masters. ILERI, specializing in international relations and cybersecurity, prepares students for strategic sectors such as risk management. The BTS of Aurlom complement this offering with professionalizing paths.
This diversified campus allows for meeting market evolutions and business needs. By hosting these institutions, Nice strengthens its image as a student and innovative city. Iconic thus marks a further step toward the ambition to make Nice an educational capital on the Côte d’Azur.
