Grand winners of Eurovision, the Italian band has been the talk of the town since their victory on May 22nd in Rotterdam. While they were already very popular in their country, the band is now adored worldwide, and particularly in Europe.
The gamble was risky knowing that rock is no longer in fashion, yet the band is a true phenomenon. By early July, the track “Beggin” was the most streamed worldwide on Spotify, and tickets for their planned European tour this winter sold out in less than two hours. They were right to shout it at Eurovision, “rock’n’roll never dies!”
With their extravagant and confident style, their androgynous appearance, and their well-defined rock sound, they have managed to carve out a spot on the front stage. Moreover, their duet with Iggy Pop on the track “I wanna be your slave” even brought them more credibility.
New single
After “Zitti e buoni” which allowed them to win Eurovision 2021, and “I wanna be your slave”, they just released a brand new single “MAMMAMIA” this Friday, October 8th. Still just as rock, this new track seems to be just as effective as the previous ones.
The four Italians, together for already five years, have everything it takes to be appealing and, hopefully, everything needed to last.
