The press conference for the 68th Cannes Film Festival, during which the 2015 Official Selection was announced, was held this Thursday, April 16, in Paris.
Pierre Lescure and Thierry Frรฉmaux revealed the entire official selection for the 68th Cannes Film Festival this Thursday morning.
For the first time in its history, the Cannes Film Festival has chosen to have two presidents of the jury instead of one. The American brothers, Joel (60 years old) and Ethan (57 years old) Coen, will succeed New Zealand director Jane Campion in this role.
Out of the 1,800 films presented, 17 films are competing for the Palme d’Or, including four French films and three Italian films. Many stars are expected on the steps of the Palais des Festivals, with the announced presence of Catherine Deneuve, Natalie Portman, Marion Cotillard, Lรฉa Seydoux, Benicio del Toro, Michael Caine, Isabelle Huppert, Cate Blanchett, Charlize Theron, Tom Hardy, Vincent Lindon, Matthew McConaughey, and Naomi Watts.
