It was during a lovely evening organized on the Pantiero esplanade in Cannes that the photographers who participated in the Cannes Photo Awards received their prizes.
In 2011, the theme of the competition was “lights of the ports”. The novelty this year was the opening of this competition at the national level.
A jury composed of true professionals and enthusiasts of imagery awarded the “Cannes Photo Awards”:
The jury consisted of:
Guillaume Plisson, professional photographer, President of the jury
Franck Dosne, director of the Cannes port
Jérôme Kelagopian, professional photographer, specialized in boat photography
Bernard Naccache, photography professor at ESRA Nice
Christian Sinicropi, Michelin-starred chef of the Palme d’Or (Hotel Martinez).
This edition of the competition was a great success with more than 1000 participants across all categories and over 1600 photographs received.

- 2nd: Zoé Dolidon, 5 and a half years old from Nice
- 3rd: Zélie Dolidon, 8 years old from Nice
Teenagers’ category:
- 1st: Lucy Vigoureux, 17 years old from Marseille
- 2nd: Alison Duhamel, 6 years old from Saint James (50)
- 3rd: Esther Salama-Chambou, 7 and a half years old from Juan les Pins.
Adults’ category:
- 1st: Pierre Aubertin
- 2nd: Lara Montagnac from Nice
- 3rd: Yin Kimdary
Artists’ category:
- 1st: Thierry Masson, independent photographer from Paris
- 2nd: Arnaud Duval, independent photographer from Paris
- 3rd: Gérard Tournebize from Sainte Maxime (83 Var)

An exhibition of the photographs by the winners and professionals, as well as monumental sculptures, is accessible for free on the Pantiero esplanade until August 19th.
