Cannes: The Living Together Festival for “growing in fraternity to build peace”

Latest News

This 5th Festival aims to be a strong sign of confidence in the future and a message of peace and fraternity for all.

Now more than ever in the current context, the 5th edition of the “Living Together in Cannes” Festival takes on its full meaning and invites us to mobilize.

“We are all affected by the events that struck Cannes and its inhabitants this weekend. We are filled with immense feelings of compassion and friendship,” says Pierre Chevallet, President of the organizing association.

The “Living Together in Cannes” Festival was initiated in 2011 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the interreligious meetings in Assisi.

It demonstrates that this commitment by believers of all faiths and all people of goodwill to build peace is vital.

This Sunday, THE MARCH FOR PEACE on the Croisette departed from the Roseraie after an address by religious leaders and the welcome of delegations from French and foreign cities working for fraternity and peace.

At 3 p.m., everyone gathered for the unveiling of a plaque around the Peace Olive Tree,
planted last year by community leaders in the presence of
the Mayor of Cannes, David Lisnard.
