-BODY PIANO MACHINE evening with MAJIKER.
This opening evening will be musical, centered around the English musician/composer MAJIKER.
MAJIKER is none other than the composer and arranger for the albums and tours of CAMILLE, a genius multi-instrumentalist who has traveled the world alongside the renowned French singer. Thus, the evening will be structured around his Body-Piano-Machine concept, the title of his latest album, in three strong musical segments.
Doors open at 7 PM.
Apéro Carré by DJ Ebenezer
11:15 PM / GRAND PIANORAMAX Jazz-Groove-Electro
Created by Léo Tardin, first prize winner at the Montreux Jazz Festival International Piano Solo Competition, the ambitious project “Grand Pianoramax” explores the possibilities offered by the confrontation of various keyboards (Minimoog, syncopated piano, saturated Fender Rhodes) and a drum kit (the Zurich-based Dominik Burkhalter) in a range of hybrid and virtuosic combinations. This duo is complemented by the vocal and lexical improvisations of guest poets and rappers, among the most creative in the USA, Mike Ladd and Black Cracker.
9:45 PM / MAJIKER Body-Piano-Machine
MaJiKer, aka Matthew Ker, is a genius producer, composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist.
After his long collaboration with CAMILLE, for whom he arranged and composed (Le Fil) and with whom he traveled the world (on piano, accordion, beatbox, body percussion), it is through his personal project Body-Piano-Machine that we will discover him on this occasion of the Songes de Nuits Carrées. A rare and exceptional artist not to be missed…
8:30 PM / SASHIRD LAO Jazz-Groove-World
This fantastic trio from the Azure Coast needs no introduction, recently signed with Harmonia Mundi.
In continuity with their residency work carried out at the Hartung Bergman Foundation in July 2010 as part of the Songes de Nuits Carrées, the multi-instrumentalist trio returns more refined and efficient than ever, taking their music even further…

-Tame YOUR Panther!
How can members of the same family, of the same culture, follow totally opposite destinies? How do individuals living together in peace turn into murderous hysteria?
Lost between seemingly just and sincere causes, how should we react?
What are the limits of our own tolerance?
We continue our reflection on identities. Through absurd and funny situations, we question what deeply disturbs us.
We dissect the identity beast. To watch together this savagery within us.
To approach our shadow side. To tame our panther…
