The first Cannes Urban Trail took place this morning. Runners could choose from three distances: 26, 13, or 8 kilometers.
Distances of varying lengths, where numerous runners competed.
The first race to start was the 26 kilometers at 9 AM this morning in a rather friendly atmosphere.
It’s 8 AM this morning on the Cannes Croisette, along the festival palace, and already the runners are warming up. In less than an hour, they will be the first to start running through the city and its surroundings.
From the festival palace, passing by the Croix des Gardes, the Pantero, or even the Suquet. 2000 runners for the first edition.
The main event of the big Cannes race was won by Sylvain Camus, with a time of 1 hr 43 min 29 sec. Second in the event, Stephane Giordanengo completed it in 1 hr 43 min 47 sec.
Sebastien Camus finished third, with a time of 1 hr 48 min 5 sec.
On the women’s side, Joly TESTAULT Marion finished first, with a time of 1 hr 58 min 4 sec. A happy athlete, delighted to have been able to run in Cannes and discover new landscapes.
Athletes tired but happy to have been able to run in Cannes. Sylvain Camus shared that he’s more accustomed to mountain trails, but this time it was different. The course allows no time for rest and recovery. Athletes have to give their all from start to finish.

In the other races, Thierry Lacroix claimed victory in the Cannes Discoveries Trail, 8 kilometers, with a time of 0 hr 38 min 54 sec. He finished just ahead of Moriceau Jean-Christophe by a few hundredths of a second (0 hr 39 min 1 sec). In third place was Vincent Ducastel with 0 hr 42 min 53 sec.
For the small Cannes 13 kilometers, which started shortly after 10 AM, the results are quite impressive. Julien Navarro finished first with a time of 0 hr 55 min 33 sec. Behind him, in second place, was Franck Saffioti, from the association Run at PEILLON of nissa, with 1 hr 1 sec. A second place that almost slipped away to Julien Plumer (1 hr 19 sec), who came in third.
