Statement from Emmanuel Guillon:
After withdrawing from the UMP nomination race, and as I mentioned during the departmental committee to avoid going against the decision made by Eric Ciotti and Christian Estrosi, I have finally decided to take a leave from the party and to run in Nice’s 3rd district as a Médeciniste and Union of the Rights candidate.
The 3rd district is indeed the only one where no deputy mayor has entered the race.
While the endorsed candidate has recently joined the mayor’s office, it cannot be forgotten that he was one of the most outspoken opponents of the departmental and municipal majority, supporting Jérome Rivière in the last legislative elections against Eric Ciotti himself.
I am announcing the upcoming creation of a Médeciniste party.
