During the upcoming cantonal elections in March, in the Alpes Maritimes department, Les Alternatifs, FASE (Federation for a Social and Ecological Alternative), NPA (New Anticapitalist Party), as well as NiCEA (Nice Citizen and Altermondialist) in the Nice cantons, are presenting candidates in 9 cantons of the Alpes Maritimes and will support 14 (see table).
A Citizen Forum, open to everyone, has been set up to develop the program as closely as possible to the concerns of the residents.
In Nice cantons 12 and 14, “The Alternative on the Left” lists will be presented.
In 16 other cantons, the unity extends to the Left Front (French Communist Party (PCF), the Left Party (PG), and United Left (GU)) as well as to associative and union activists.
Together, we present the lists “For an Alternative on the Left, Solidarity – Citizenship – Ecology.”

– Retired from the sector of children with special needs.
– Specialized educator, director of I.M.E. (Medico-Educational Institute), for teenagers with autistic and psychotic disorders.
– Former instructor at IUFM in the Paris region.
– Long-standing union and associative activist, with recent active participation in united movements around the referendum against the European Constitutional Treaty, the referendum to save the postal service, and the protests against pension reforms.

– Secretary in an engineering office in Nice Saint Augustin.

– Candidate in the last regional elections on the list “100% Social and Ecological Left.”

– This unionist and women’s rights advocate was already present in the 10th canton of Nice during the cantonal elections.

– PhD candidate in History.
– Resident of Cagnes-sur-Mer.
– Activist with the JCR (youth organization of the LCR) since 2001 and then with the NPA at its foundation.
– Union activist with UNEF since 2004.

– Campaign for the Left Alternative.

– Originally from Les Mujouls, the smallest village in the Monts d’Azur community of communes (CCMA), into which the commune of Escragnoles entered, which is part of the canton of Saint-Vallier-de-Thiey.
