Car sharing is being introduced in Nice.

Latest News

The NCA metropolis steps up. Now, it is forging partnerships to implement its “soft mobility” development plan. The latest collaboration involves car sharing with 100% electric vehicles.

Only 100% electric vehicles are allowed to receive the car-sharing label and reserved street parking spots. This decision significantly reduces air and noise pollution in the city. Sharing a car on Getaround equates to removing at least five individual cars from circulation. Consequently, it reinforces Nice’s stance as a “calm city.” “The first two cars to join this program are Peugeot e208s”. The vehicles are available in front of Nice Ville train station and the Riquier station.

How does it work?

“Thanks to Getaround Connect technology, Getaround cars are located, booked, unlocked, and locked using a smartphone, at any time, for an hour, a day, or a week, thus offering a comprehensive and flexible alternative to individual car ownership”. Furthermore, the service is reasonably priced.

Other partnerships

Since January 2019, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis has been benefiting from the Renault Mobility car-sharing service with self-service electric vehicles in Nice and its outskirts. “As such, 57 Renault ZOE and Kangoo ZE vehicles are made available to residents and visitors at 52 stations in the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, at very advantageous rates”.
