Latest News

The incident occurred around 9:30 am on Thursday at 60 Paul Montel Boulevard in a Nouveau Logis Azur HLM building with 85 apartments located in the Moulins neighborhood. The residents of the building, complaining of headaches, immediately called the emergency services. 60 firefighters, six doctors, and 17 vehicles were mobilized throughout the morning.

After being taken to Pasteur Hospital, the 14 occupants were placed in a hyperbaric chamber until mid-afternoon. Others, around fifteen people in total, who were less severely affected, were examined on-site by the rescue team. Among the victims were two infants who were put under observation at L’Archet Hospital.

So far, the source of the carbon monoxide emission has not been identified. Therefore, the building had to be evacuated, and a Red Plan was put in place while awaiting more details on the origin of the incident.
