Thursday, March 1, 2012, at 2:00 PM – Place des Amaryllis – Nice
During the Carnival, all neighborhoods in the city of Nice are in celebration. In schools, students are introduced to the tradition, create their own costumes, and participate in the charivaris and aubades.
Starting from Place des Amaryllis, the parade will take Boulevard Paul Montel, Rue des Mahonias, Rue de la Digue des Français, and then return to Boulevard Paul Montel. The parade will end beautifully at Place des Amaryllis.
In 2011, this neighborhood carnival drew more than 800 people.
This parade is organized by CAL Saint Augustin and Les Moulins, the Plaine and Coteaux Proximity Pole in partnership with A.D.S.E.A., C.L.J., Niss’art, Eveil ton art, Dialogues, les Alizés, S.O.S. educational success, Elles des Moulins, I.N.S., the retirement home of Les Moulins, and the Nice Tourist and Convention Office.
