This Wednesday, February 12th at 3 PM at the Espace Django Reinhardt (19, Chemin Château Saint Pierre in l’Ariane), the inauguration of 4 carnival floats built in the neighborhood.
To honor the diversity of residents at the Asylum Seekers Reception Center of the ATE association, its float will represent a being mixing all origins present in the center.
Indeed, since its creation in 1953, this Nice-based association has been working to welcome and house migrants from all over the planet, who showcase their cuisine through “delicious” workshops.
The Occitan Cultural Center País Nissart e Alpenc, for its part, has chosen to honor La Coína Nissarda / Nissard Cuisine.
CAL Django Reinhardt and Young Muslims of France (JMF) have created a carnival cook.
The Ariane Progress Neighborhood Committee has crafted a famous Nissard chef that we will discover for the occasion.
CEDAC Ariane has also created large heads they are known for…
This afternoon’s program includes:
Presentation of the 4 floats, a makeup workshop, and a snack offered to the children by the Rives du Paillon Proximity Pole, the launching of the Palhasso, a confetti battle, and the opening of the exhibition “Carneval de l’Ariana”, with Catia Delmont from CCAS Le Village revisiting the photos of Nissa Carnival historian Annie Sidro.
These floats will participate from February 9th to March 8th in neighborhood or village Carnivals (in Nice, Drap, and Coaraze) and in the Official Carnival on March 4th.
