In her young career, which many observers deem promising, Caroline Garcia has so far not won any singles titles despite a final at a $50,000 ITF in Kazan in August 2011 and two at $25,000 ITFs in Osprey (USA) and Aschaffenburg (GER) in the same year.

After leading 5-1 in the first act and missing 3 set points, the Ukrainian had to stop her opponent’s comeback at 5-4 to conclude the first set on her fourth attempt. Continuing her momentum, she cruised through the second act to book a place in the final (6-4 6-2).
