Spectators, professionals, members of the Forum Jacques Prรฉvert, and curious attendees officially discovered the new program for the Salle Juliette Grรฉco in Carros, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2013. In the presence of Christine Charles, first deputy mayor of Carros, Claude Renaudo, deputy for culture, and Philippe Duval, president of the Forum Jacques Prรฉvert association, Sylvie Guigo-Lecomte, director of the Forum Jacques Prรฉvert, presented the 23 shows that will punctuate the 2012-2013 season.
This year, the focus is on young audiences and theater with 16 shows designed to captivate both young and old. The Cie Adroite gauche will kick off the season with a clown and musical show on October 2 for children aged 5 and up.
Then, in partnership with the Cinรฉalma festival, the Cie Brozzoni will present a polymorphic show with texts by Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish. Dick Annegarn, the old white griot from the North, will open the concert season, featuring performances by Tom Poisson, Anaรฏs, Juliette Grรฉco, Juliette Katz, and Gian Maria Testa. There will be renewed tragedy with TAC Thรฉรขtre (Oreste and Electra), tales, and classics (The Young Lady, the Devil, and the Mill, The Imaginary Invalid, The Witch of the Cupboard with Brooms) and even a month dedicated to childhood, even the very little ones, in May, with 3 shows, including one accessible from 8 months old.
Lastly, dance will not be forgotten with two companies in residence at the Forum: the Cie Hervรฉ Koubi, which will present a ballet inspired by Yasmina Khadra’s novel “What the Day Owes the Night,” and Sixiรจmรฉtage, a Nice-based company that will offer a funny and biting “Boulevard pรฉriphรฉrique.”
