Latest News

This will be a major first and the event is of great importance! From December 16 to 18, the churches and chapels of the town as well as the Carmel Monastery will host the first festival of sacred music and chants in Carros.

This inaugural edition already promises to be rich in emotion, particularly thanks to a top-notch lineup.

We will thus have the talented Martiniquais lyrical soprano singer Fabrice di Falco and the countertenor who was a finalist in the 2014 International Sacred Music Competition in Rome, Matthieu Peyrรจgne, accompanied by the Monaco Baroque Ensemble at Saint-Paul Church this Friday at 8:30 PM.

Emotion will also be present the next day, Saturday, at the Carmel Monastery with the exceptional performance of the Carmelite sisters (2:30 PM). This will be followed by two other high-quality concerts: “Prayer in the Opera,” a recital performed by Sophie Monaco (soprano), Ioan Hotenski (baritone), and accompanied on the organ by Nelly Fourcade (Saint-Claude Church, 5:30 PM), and the Albanian violinist Tedi Papavrami who will offer a recital of Johann Sebastian Bach (Saint-Paul Church, 8:30 PM).

Finally, on Sunday, the duo Eclectica, composed of Peggy Polito (piano, voice) and Rossitza Milevska (harp, piano, voice), will perform at the Plans Chapel (3 PM) before the grand “finale” by the British vocal quintet Apollo 5, who will interpret Sacred Chants and Christmas songs at Saint-Paul Church (6:30 PM).
