A popular and delightful event par excellence, the Strawberry and Local Produce Festival will be held this weekend at Louis Frescolini Square, in Plans de Carros.
On this occasion, visitors will be able to discover and purchase delicious cartons of strawberries from the Carros region.
Local products and crafts will also be highlighted, and a multitude of activities, demonstrations, and discovery workshops for children and adults will take place throughout the weekend: fruit and vegetable sculpting, discovery of organic basket weaving, making carved candles, glass painting, educational farm, archery, etc.
Not to mention a culinary activity… around the strawberry, of course!
An exhibition on food waste and educational composting by the Nice Côte d’Azur metropolis, as well as a photographic exhibition of our perched villages by Jean-Philippe Chevreau, will also be featured during this Strawberry and Local Produce Festival.
This Sunday, after the mass and the blessing of the strawberries, the official speeches will be delivered in the presence of the folk groups Li Arendoula and Rancho folklorique de Nice.
During the honorary aperitif, the public will also have the opportunity to taste the giant pan bagnat prepared by the Les Niçois du canton association.
