From October 11 to 20, the Juliette Gréco room in Carros will screen 37 films, including 21 unreleased or preview screenings, representing 14 countries (France, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Macedonia, Greece).
The Cinéalma 2019 program maintains its strong roots in the Mediterranean basin by representing and highlighting the diversity of cultural expressions.
This year, the focus is on Moroccan cinema, which is experiencing significant dynamism.
Algerian cinema is also present with the latest films from established directors.
The Cinéalma festival must pay tribute to Tunisia (featured with 4 films) by associating with the sad event that befell a brother festival (The Carthage Film Days) with the passing of their general director, Nejib Ayed.
Films that have been selected and distinguished at numerous festivals will also be featured.
Cinéalma remains deeply committed to values of peace, exchange, and dialogue and to the spirit of friendliness that has driven it since its creation. Consequently, the Cinéactions association offers two traditional Sunday lunch meals (on October 13 and 20), allowing the public to meet and exchange with the filmmakers present.
Cinéalma is co-organized by the city of Carros and the Cinéactions association, with the support of many other partners.
