Just a few weeks after reopening its doors with numerous new features for the public, the Carros media library will celebrate its tenth anniversary on Saturday, March 2. It was indeed in 2003 that the Carros complex was inaugurated in the presence of André Verdet, the artist whose name it bears.

Among the events, we will find the Carros company Voix Public, which will recount the history of the book in Carros and re-enact its journey. A journey that started at the Maison pour tous on rue du bosquet, before continuing on rue des oliviers in the premises of the current Jacques Prévert forum, moving to the Victor Hugo library, and reaching its height upon entering the media library. Three companions seize this story and present it to the public through anecdotes, testimonies, re-enactments of lived events, and documents collected from the main actors of this beautiful adventure from the 70s to the present day.
Also on the program for this official inauguration are the wanderings of the Le mouton rouge company, which will take the audience between readings and surprises. In the afternoon, workshops and behind-the-scenes tours are organized. It’s an opportunity to discover the media library differently.
