CARROS: THE EXHIBITION for the 5th anniversary of “Poetry in All Its States of Art.”

Latest News

Since last February 14th, Valentine’s Day, various locations in the Alpes-Maritimes have been hosting some unusual mailboxes: the Love Mailboxes created by the visual artists of the OSCARR association!

The Love Mailboxes are crafted each year by the visual artists of the OSCARR association. Original, quirky, humorous, each artist in the association is dedicated to letting poetry speak through their unique expression and universe, offering the public a shift intended to surprise, astonish, and provoke thought.

They were made available to the public, who were invited to deposit letters, poems, sweet words, and drawings in 45 locations across 13 municipalities in the Alpes-Maritimes. In 2010, over 500 letters were posted in these original boxes, and how many in 2011?

The collected declarations will be read by the actor Franรงois Voisin on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at 6 p.m. at the Privat Sorbonne bookshop in Nice, during the “Poรซt Poรซt Days,” the second phase of the festival “Poetry in All Its States of Art,” which takes place until March 27.

The “favorite letter” will be broadcast at the end of March on France Bleu Azur 103.8 and published in the Semaine des Spectacles!

The third and final phase of the festival, from March 26 to April 3, 2011, will feature a collective exhibition of the Love Mailboxes and works created during visual arts, writing, school, and extracurricular workshops at the Villa Barbary in Carros Village, concluding the 5th anniversary of “Poetry in All Its States of Art.” This exhibition aims to bring together in one place all the “love mailboxes” made by OSCARR artists, all the letters written by the public, as well as all the works created in the workshops, and will be punctuated by poetic interventions.
