The traditional and famous Strawberry Festival is celebrating its 40th edition this year. It is undeniably the flagship event of Carros. On the upcoming May 3rd and 4th, a multitude of activities is scheduled for food lovers and gourmets at the Louis Frescolini square in Plans de Carros.
On Saturday, May 3rd (afternoon) and Sunday, May 4th (all day), visitors can enjoy a large sale of strawberries from the Carros canton, as well as a small market of local producers. There will be no shortage of entertainment for both children and adults, including an animal farm, pony or carriage rides, and dance and capoeira demonstrations by local associations.
On Sunday, after the blessing of the strawberries at the Selves chapel and speeches by elected officials and organizers, an honorary aperitif will be offered by the Chamber of Agriculture of the Alpes-Maritimes.
For the occasion, this festival will be linked with the 3rd departmental agricultural festival and will also be an opportunity to discover local products grown at the doorstep of the Var Valley.
Noteworthy among the proposed activities are the presentation of agricultural professions, a culinary workshop, and a closing tea dance.
