This Saturday, the Secours Catholique will take over Place Masséna to become visible to the general public and raise awareness of the actions of its volunteers among the most disadvantaged.
The goal of this day is to publicize the actions of the volunteer teams of Secours Catholique in the Alpes-Maritimes and to sensitize the public to the importance of commitment.
This event is aimed particularly at volunteers from Nice, but also at all volunteers in the department who wish to participate.
Several activities are planned: Meetings and discussions with the public, activities for children, musical entertainment by a JAZZ BAND, and participation of “Harley Davidsons.”
Volunteers and financial donations are the main resources that allow Secours Catholique to fight against poverty and precariousness, the intensity of which increases every year.
For Adelaide Bertrand, departmental delegate, the event aims to provide visibility for the organization: “Place Masséna is large, and we will be present (on just one quarter of the square in front of Go Sport), to show the general public the strength of our action and our network.
