Christian Estrosi will present the Medal of the City of Nice and François Gros, the Insignia of Commander in the Order of the Legion of Honor to Professor Michel Lazdunski, a renowned biochemist internationally known for his work on ion channels, recipient of the CNRS Gold Medal (the highest French scientific distinction), founder of the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology in Sophia Antipolis (IPMC) and the Center of Biochemistry (now IBV).
