The premises of the Chamber of Trades and Crafts in Saint-Laurent-du-Var hosted the “Creators of the Future in Craftsmanship” morning event yesterday, on Monday.
Company owners and elected officials were invited to a short event followed by a cocktail, attended by Eric Ciotti, President of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes, Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Côte d’Azur metropolitan area, Raymond Floch, representing Mr. Jean-Michel Drevet, Prefect of Alpes-Maritimes, and Jean-Pierre Galvez, President of the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of Alpes-Maritimes.
5600 Business Creations
For the Chamber of Trades and Crafts, it’s an opportunity to remind that the sector remains dynamic despite the economic crisis. In 2011, more than 5600 business creations or takeovers were recorded in Alpes-Maritimes. The Chamber of Trades and Crafts specializes in supporting businesses towards development during this critical start-up period. An effort supported by the Alpes-Maritimes General Council, as evidenced by the presence of Eric Ciotti.
Promoting Employment
Craftsmanship is a sector worth nearly 3 billion euros for the department and carries strong potential for employment. It is with this in mind that the Alpes-Maritimes General Council decided to renew its partnership with the Chamber of Trades in order to consolidate the benefits of the craft businesses. For 2012, this policy will focus on the integration of people with disabilities.
