Changes in traffic directions in Nice

Latest News

Since last week, traffic has been modified in several areas of Nice. These adjustments aim to improve flow and safety for the arrival of bus line 8+ and new developments.

A new traffic plan has been implemented between Place Goiran and the Carrefour de l’Horloge. From now on:

  • Boulevard de Cessole is now one-way uphill.
  • Rue Jean Canavรจse and Avenue Cyrille Besset are one-way downhill.

The ultimate goal of these modifications is to allow for the creation of bus lanes on the Cessole Nord and Canavรจse-Besset routes. This should strengthen the transport offering in the area.

As a precaution, Avenue Joseph Durandy, between 104 and 114, is closed due to private works that have weakened the roadway. A detour is set up via the route de Saint Antoine. This affects the bus line 60/61 towards Magnan and Ferber. A partial service and frequency adjustments are planned to minimize impacts. Access to the Allianz Riviera on match days

On match days or during events at the Allianz Riviera, an annual badge allows residents to access the closed roads around the stadium. This perimeter has been revised with the commissioning of Avenue Simone Veil. Traffic is well maintained on Avenues Auguste Vรฉrola and Sainte-Marguerite.

Residents wishing to obtain the badge must provide the following documents:

  • Identity document,
  • Vehicle registration document,
  • Recent proof of residence (less than 3 months old).

Residents of specific areas (Rue Angรฉlique Braquet, Avenue Pierre de Coubertin, Avenue Simone Veil, Boulevard des Jardiniers, etc.) are eligible.

These measures aim to secure and streamline traffic. The goal is to limit the impact of works and various events that may sometimes be constraining for road users in the Azurean capital.
