Recital in Bay, when music fills the salons of the Negresco, thanks to the unique concert given by the talented Russian pianist Tatiana Smelova.
The famous Baie des Anges may well see a new star shining in its firmament this Friday evening. Indeed, the talented Russian pianist Tatiana Smelova has chosen the Negresco and its magnificent salons to give a unique recital, where the enchanting notes of Liszt’s and Chopin’s romantic works will soar like curls of happiness in the rafters of the prestigious palace.
On the program for this exceptional evening, the very demanding soloist will perform three major works among the most important in the history of music, on an exceptional instrument as well: a magnificent Petrof concert piano, which the Nice-based Pianopolis and its director Christophe Coullet readily made available to the artist for the time of a Recital in Bay.
Aficionados will immediately recognize the rigor and talent required by the works composing this recital. From Sonata in B minor No. 3, Op. 58, to the Scherzo in B-flat minor No. 2, Op. 31 by Frรฉdรฉric Chopin, to the Sonata in B minor by Franz Liszt, the evening already promises to delight the ears of an enchanted audience eager to discover the interpretation of this acclaimed artist in such a magnificent setting.
Tatiana Smelova began piano at the age of three in her native Russia and has since continuously refined her art and, of course, shared it. An artistic journey marked by work with the greatest pianists worldwide and numerous awards. All of this bears witness to Tatiana Smelova’s immense talent, revealed at a very young age, which we will see expressed this Friday in all the splendor of her experience and love of music, undoubtedly writing a new page in the history of the azurean palace.
The Nice association “On Air” is organizing this concert. Founded a few years ago by a handful of art and culture enthusiasts, this association is today a key player in the musical, literary, artistic, and cultural landscape, more generally, in all forms of art, with the ambition of making culture accessible to the greatest number by making it available to all.
The evening’s profits will be donated to the Harley du Cลur association, which works with children weakened by illness or disability, and the initiative has already caught the attention of many political figures from the department or city who will be present Friday evening, as well as artists like John McLaughlin, who will attend with his wife and a few friends.

Pianist Tatiana Smelova has captivated audiences with her performances since the age of nine at prestigious festivals and concert series in Europe, Russia, Canada, and the United States (La Chaise Dieu Festival, Chopin Festival in Paris, Pierrefonds, Cziffra, Abbaye de La Prรฉe, Pianomania, Saintonge, La Verrerie, Schubertiade at the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, etc.).
Since that age, she has been invited to perform on television and radio in Estonia, Russia, France, Luxembourg, and Finland. Alongside her activity as a soloist, Tatiana Smelova teaches masterclasses in France and abroad.
In France, she refines her skills with Pascal Devoyon. Winner of several international competitions, she possesses a very broad repertoire ranging from the 17th century to the present day.
