Charles Gottlieb is a true bearer of memory for younger generations.

A member of the Resistance and deportee to Auschwitz, Charles Gottlieb, 89 years old, will visit a class of 24 eighth-grade students at Maurice Jaubert Middle School to deliver his precious and moving testimony.

With remarkable dignity and a poignant desire to share his story, Charles Gottlieb regularly visits middle schools in the department. All the young people who have had the privilege to meet him carry an emotional memory of the experience.

In 2011, the Department published the autobiography of Charles Gottlieb, “Life Story,” complemented by numerous letters of thanks, sent by students transformed by their encounter with this great Witness.
