Thanks to the programs organized by the Departmental School of the Sea, the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes enables children aged 6 to 12 to discover the marine world and to begin with nautical, aquatic, and underwater sports: sailing, canoeing, apnea, and more.

Open to everyone, it welcomes groups of up to 48 children in environmental classes or vacation centers from mid-February to mid-December, supervised by professionals from the Department.

The Departmental School of the Sea is an educational tool designed by the General Council, aiming for environmental education and learning communal life.

Let us recall that in 2010, 1,356 children were able to transform into genuine little sailors, scientists, and eco-citizens, thanks to the Departmental School of the Sea.
