Since the 1990s, tourism links between China and the French Riviera have been regular, whether political, touristic, or cultural.
The opening of a direct route between Beijing and the French Riviera by the airline AIR CHINA with an A330 featuring 227 seats, including 28 business class seats, three times a week: Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, will be operational from August 2.
This new route represents a significant asset for conquering this potential clientele of 1.4 billion people, among whom there are 3.5 million millionaires: a market that currently accounts for more than 115,000 stays, placing it 15th among international markets for the French Riviera.
The objective set is to reach 250,000 stays by 2025, so that China enters the TOP 10 of foreign markets for the French Riviera.
“This direct route is truly a major event for the future and development of Destination CÔTE d’AZUR France: a breath of fresh air for tourism in the French Riviera,” commented David LISNARD, President of CRT CÔTE d’AZUR FRANCE.
