Would Christian Estrosi don the attire of Don Quixote by going to war against windmills? Let’s be serious, these people, the fake artists like Dieudonné, the fake intellectuals like Soral, and other eccentrics that proliferate on television, radio, and in newspaper columns, are in reality just clowns who have found their role in a society obsessed with everything media-related.
They are just provocateurs, and they know that their importance comes from this spectacle of which they are the actors and we the spectators (sometimes even paying ones!).
Indifference is the right response and the antidote to the nonsense they spread, which they themselves sometimes do not believe in, as deceitful as they are in taking us for fools.
As for “public disturbances,” there is a circular from the Ministry of the Interior, there is a Prefect to enforce it if necessary.
That the Mayor of Nice expresses his negative opinion about the arrival of these individuals in his city is a political act. But when he seeks to have a central role, it’s simply seeking cheap popularity.
And then, to do what? Surely, we won’t have another scene like the one with the travelers in Arboras this past summer?
Ultimately, if everyone stayed in their place, especially in delicate moments, wouldn’t that be the best contribution to an orderly management of city life?

Alain Soral, the mastermind behind Mr. M’Bala M’Bala, of whom he was a running mate in the 2009 European elections, is known for his revisionist and negationist stances for many years through his numerous works.
Following the circular of January 6, 2014, by the Minister of the Interior, Manuel Valls, I officially ask Mr. Prefect of Alpes-Maritimes to prohibit the public meeting of Mr. Soral scheduled to take place on January 11 or 12, 2014, in Nice.
The fight against anti-Semitism and racism has always been a priority in my political life, and I cannot allow someone to freely make anti-Semitic statements or incite anti-Semitism in the city of Nice.
Without the intervention of the State through Mr. Prefect, I will use all legal means at my disposal to prohibit this political meeting of anti-Semitic and revisionist propaganda.”
