Gala evening at City Hall for the reception in honor of Lauriano Azinheirinha, who will be leaving at the end of the month his current positions as Director General of Services for the Municipality and Metropolis, a key role in Christian Estrosi’s framework for managing the two local authorities.
A large audience of elected officials, prominent figures in Nice’s public life, and collaborators were present under the indulgent gaze of the one who was Lauriano Azinheirinha’s mentor, propelling him into Nice’s political scene, serving as deputy to the Mayor from 2008 to 2017 and as councilor and Vice President of the Departmental Council from 2009 to 2021.
His transition from elected official to the top position in administration raised questions, but the former centrist demonstrated skill and efficiency, particularly in the management of the pandemic and storm Alex.
The praise that Christian Estrosi addressed to him was particularly warm: โJust days before the end of his missions as Director General of Services for the municipality and the metropolis, I salute a friend, a servant of Nice who excelled in his duties. As he leaves his position, he can be proud of the service accomplished.โ
It is his method, his strong sense of public service, and the general interest that allowed our @MetropoleNCA to remain resilient in the face of disasters and to give rise to our many emblematic achievements. pic.twitter.com/QR3PKzxnYl

Moreover, Lauriano Azinheirinha remains in the realm of local public life: he will take on other roles (ensured by his willingness to continue his commitment to serving our territory in other forms, stated Christian Estrosi), which have not been officially disclosed but are expected to relate to the economic sector.
The name of his successor has not been revealed either.
