Approximately 150 people will participate in this meeting, including regional economic actors, environmental associations, and local personalities, whom Christian Estrosi wanted to mobilize before his upcoming meeting on November 25 with Jean-Louis Borloo, Minister of Ecology, Environment, and Sustainable Development, whom he has informed about this serious problem, the consequence of the energy isolation of the Alpes-Maritimes, already reported several times.
Aware of the necessity for quality electricity supply to meet the needs of the population and economic activities, Christian Estrosi has also called for an ambitious “Energy Efficiency” plan aimed at reducing energy consumption, increasing the share of renewable energies, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, which he will unveil during this Energy Grenelle.
The concrete actions envisaged will aim to allow the departmental territory to be more ambitious in terms of objectives to achieve than those set by the Grenelle de lโEnvironnement. The Alpes-Maritimes aspire to be exemplary in this matter, particularly on the energy front, and will become, thanks to this “Energy Efficiency” plan, a testing ground for all other territories.
