This afternoon, Christian Estrosi went to visit the testing center and the vaccination hub at the Palais des Expositions.
Christian Estrosi visited the Palais des Expositions this Thursday. It was important for the mayor of Nice to see the testing center as well as the vaccination center. This visit aims to continue the vaccination campaign so that everything goes smoothly.
Once inside the Palais des Expositions, PCR tests can be conducted by appointment only. The results are then communicated within the next 24 hours. This testing center has been used for many months already. But now, the Palais des Expositions will also be requisitioned for vaccinations.
Palais des expositions, new vaccination hub
Along with the center on rue Hancy, the Théâtre de Verdure, and the Palais Nikaïa, the Palais des Expositions is the fourth vaccination hub in the city. Currently, the primary target remains people over the age of 75. Inside, organization is taking shape. As advised by Christian Estrosi, pre-registration is required to receive the vaccine.
Once pre-registration is completed, each person will receive a date and time to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. This advance measure aims to avoid making people wait and to limit traffic inside the centers. At the Palais des Expositions, this is how it is being managed. A waiting room with safety distances is available, along with many booths where vaccinations will be carried out. The vaccination campaign continues to gain momentum in Nice.
