Christian Proud-Diaz, 50 years old, has been re-elected for a second 3-year term as the president of the Automobile Club of Nice, which is one of the city’s oldest associations, having been founded in 1896. The elected president aims to give new momentum to this Riviera institution. To begin, yesterday morning, more than 85 vintage and exceptional cars and motorcycles gathered at Place Garibaldi for its Belle Macchine & Cool British Classics event.

This rally brings together 88 vehicles (including 11 motorcycles), some very rare, belonging to Riviera enthusiasts: 54 of British brands and 33 of Italian brands.

A wonderful occasion for an exchange, allowing enthusiasts to discuss the respective merits of the British inline-six versus the fiery transalpine V12s, or the rosso corsa against the British racing green!

The event took participants from Nice to St. Martin Vésubie, passing through Pointe de Contes, L’Escarène, Sospel, Col de Braus, Moulinet, Col du Turini, and Roquebillière.

Participants ended their rally at the Madone de Fenestre.
