Since 1988, a special bonus has been paid to certain beneficiaries to assist during the end-of-year holiday season. 2021 is no exception to this rule.
People who are entitled to this financial boost before the holidays do not need to take any action: the granting of this bonus is automatic. Last year, around 2.5 million households received this aid.
When?
As of December 15, the Christmas bonus will be paid to the most modest households.
Who?
To be eligible for the Christmas bonus, one must have benefited in November of the current year (or, failing that, in December) from at least one of the following allowances:
- Active Solidarity Income (RSA)
- Specific Solidarity Allowance (ASS)
- Equivalent Retirement Allowance (AER)
- Flat-rate bonus for resuming activity
In total, 2.5 million people can receive this bonus.
How much?
The Christmas bonus is aimed at households benefiting from certain minimum social benefits from the CAF and Pรดle Emploi.
The Christmas bonus from Pรดle Emploi is a flat amount of:
โฌ152.45 for mainland France and the French overseas departments (DOM);
โฌ76.22 for Mayotte.
The Christmas bonus from the CAF or MSA depends on the household composition (only one bonus is paid per household).
For example, for single individuals: โฌ152.45 will be paid.
