1. Killers of the Flower Moon by Martin Scorsese
In the Oklahoma of the 1920s, an oil deposit quickly made the Osage Native American tribe very wealthy. The settlers looked unfavorably upon this newfound wealth, obtained through black gold, which quickly became the object of their envy. Jealous, the Whites began looting and acts of destruction against this indigenous community, before moving to massacre and taking human lives. A film at the crossroads between an epic anti-western and a crime saga featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone, Robert De Niro.
2. A Difficult Year by Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache
Albert and Bruno are both heavily in debt, and they randomly encounter young eco-activists from the associative world. Not at all convinced by their arguments, they join the group not to talk about social justice but to enjoy the free aperitif. Without real convictions, they will integrate into the movement and rally to their cause… A comedy with an ecological struggle backdrop starring Pio Marmaรฏ, Jonathan Cohen, Noรฉmie Merlant.
3. Trolls 3 by Tim Heitz and Walt Dohrn
The little creatures with flamboyant hair are back for a third installment. Poppy and Branch are now officially and openly a couple, after dancing around each other for two films. Love is in the air, and itโs time to celebrate as the trolls and bergens prepare to attend the wedding of Brigitte and Gristle Jr. The arrival of a new character interrupts the events, bringing an incredible secret about Branchโs past to light.
4. A Woman on the Roof by Anna Jadowska
Mirka is a midwife in her sixties with a completely ordinary life, dedicated to her family and her work at a local clinic. One morning, before going to work, she enters a bank and attempts to commit a robbery armed with a kitchen knife and her small, hesitant voice. Her almost blinding pallor contrasts with the darkness of this desperate act. This failure slowly allows her to reconsider her existence.
5. Anselm (The Noise of Time) by Wim Wenders
Anselm Kiefer is a contemporary German visual artist who works in painting, sculpture, photography, wood engraving, and architecture. His name is among the most recognized among his German peers, and he is one of the living artists whose works reach the highest sums. This documentary offers an immersion into the past and present work of this artist, who has been based in France since 1993.
